Outside Guest Services / General Maintenance

Looking for a hands-on summer role where no two days are the same? Join our team at The Gables of PEI and help make our property shine for every guest! If you enjoy being active, working with a friendly team, and taking pride in a job well done, this could be the perfect fit.

About the Role

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week with a wage of $20–22/hour (depending on experience), and shifts that run either 8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm. You’ll enjoy paid breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch, with weekend shifts required on occasion. We have one position to fill starting early to mid-May, uniforms are provided, and you’ll report directly to the General Manager or Assistant Manager. As part of our Outside Guest Services / General Maintenance team, you’ll be the go-to person making sure every villa and property area is ready for guests. From pre-arrival prep to post-departure cleanup, daily maintenance, and minor repairs, your work will help create memorable experiences for everyone who stays with us.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Complete pre-arrival and post-departure checklists for units
• Maintain units and shared property areas (BBQs, decks, hot tubs, garbage, and more)
• Perform general preventative maintenance and minor repairs (like replacing a toilet flapper, fixing sinks, troubleshooting heating issues, or repairing screen doors)
• Operate utility equipment like gators and club cars safely Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests Track replacement parts or supplies and report needs to management
• Help maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas
• Clean exterior decks, windows, and siding
• Work closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Follow all safety and quality standards in line with PEI Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System Pitch in wherever needed—every day is a little different!

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license (required) Reliable transportation (****no bus route in this area****)
• Criminal record check (required)
• Handyman skills are an asset
