The Maritime Bus 175, the final race in the first half of the 2020 Canadian eMotorsports Series regular season takes place on Tuesday at the Pocono Raceway.
The Pocono Raceway, 2.5-miles in length, unique for only having three turns and shaped like a triangle, will be the host site for the 80-lap race. There are scheduled cautions set for laps 24 and 48.
The story surrounding the Canadian eMotorsports Series is that six different drivers have wins through the first seven regular season races this season; each of these drivers have secured their playoff spot for the post-season beginning in September.
Winners to date include Jacob Nelson (Daytona), Waylon Brown (Auto Club), Shane Cannon (Atlanta), Darcy Ford (Homestead-Miami and Charlotte), Scott Bailey (Sonoma) and Jose Mercado (Chicagoland).
The highest ranked driver in the standings without a victory is Kevin Fenech (#81 Primary Engines Inc. Chevrolet, Ontario, Canada) who has averaged a 9.14 finish through seven races this season.
16 drivers at the end of the 16-race regular season will qualify for the post-season; race winners securing spots first, and drivers with the highest total points during the season claiming the remaining openings.
Another race to keep an eye on is the top-26 in the standings who are battling to secure their full-time status in the series for 2021.
