On the night that Hurricane Teddy touched down in Atlantic Canada, Hurricane Corbin made his way to Richmond Raceway to claim the checkered flag.
The Hurricanes Physiotherapy 200, the second playoff race in the Round-of-16 of the Canadian eMotorsports Network NASCAR Series, saw the Hurricanes eMotorsports driver claim his second win of the season, and punch his ticket to the Round-of-12 with the win; he joins Ryan Gibson who won last week at Darlington. The third driver to clinch his spot in the next round is Darcy Ford who now holds a 76-point cushion over the 13th place driver.
Rounding out the top five on Tuesday night was Darcy Ford, Chad Hyder, Scott Bailey and Ryan Gibson.
Stage-points continue to play a major role in the playoff standings as Ryan Gibson won both stages, adding an extra 20-points to the total he earned for finishing fifth; he also was the pole-sitter for the race.
The final race of the Round-of-16 is the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Night Race taking place next Tuesday, September 29 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
The race to advance to the next round is red-hot as only nine points separate the drivers from 11th to 15th.
Daniel Cudmore currently holds the final playoff spot in twelfth, trailing Jacob Nelson in 11th by five-points. Michael Robinson (one-point), Jason Maluchnik (two-points) and Lee Campbell (four-points) sit 13th through 15th.
