Darcy Allan PR 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway preview

The Canadian eMotorsports Series will take on the 1.5-mile, Atlanta Motor Speedway on Tuesday, June 9 for the Darcy Allan PR 250; this is the third of 16 regular season races for 2020.

Jacob Nelson (#9 Chevrolet, Tennessee, USA) and Waylon Brown (#67 Chevrolet, Alberta, Canada) have claimed the opening two victories at Daytona International Speedway and Auto Club Speedway respectively; they’ve locked themselves into the playoffs with the wins, leaving 14 remaining playoff spots up for grabs.

Mike Marini (#42 Toyota, Ontario, Canada) leads the way as the top driver without a win entering week three, having recorded runner-up finishes in the first two events.

Others that have been strong to begin the year include Trevor Kinsey (#6 Ford, Michigan, USA) and Kevin Fenech (#81 Chevrolet, Ontario, Canada) who round out the top five in the 2020 driver standings.

The Darcy Allan PR 250 will be contested over 167 laps with pit strategy being the story, as Atlanta’s rough surface is known for abusing tires, causing fits for drivers. A creative pit strategy may be the winning formula to earning the checkered flag on Tuesday night.

Catch the pre-show with Geordie Carragher beginning at 7:45pm eastern, with the race to follow at 8pm, live at www.facebook.com/emotorsportsCAN.
