Curriculum and Instructional Consultant

Continuing Full-Time Position Commencing August 3, 2026

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Holland College is seeking a Curriculum and Instructional Consultant to support curriculum design and program delivery.  Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum Services and LMS, the Curriculum and Instructional Consultant will:

  • Provide educational expertise and leadership to any area of the College, including post-secondary programs, adult and community education, non-credit training, and other special projects and special offerings as they arise.
  • Lead teams of subject matter experts to design and develop engaging programs and courses for various modes of delivery that meet accreditation and scope of practice standards.
  • Provide leadership in gathering and analyzing occupational performance standards, using the results to design programming.
  • Provide guidance on program review teams with a focus on program design, suitability to labour market, and instructional effectiveness.
  • Assist faculty to develop teaching strategies, learning activities, and assessments for various modes of delivery by leading formal and ongoing professional development efforts.
  • Guide and support faculty in curricular innovation, such as integrating educational technology and the principles of UDL into their courses to support diverse learners.
  • Working within Holland College’s ISO: 9001 certification, follow and collaboratively maintain policies and procedures related to program development and special projects within the context of the college’s strategic direction.
  • Continually develop own skillsets and accept other related duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in related field coupled with a Bachelor of Education or Certificate in Adult Education is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ teaching experience in post-secondary education is required with preference given to those with significant experience in various modes of delivery in a community college.
  • Proven collaborative leadership style that combines teamwork and flexibility is required.
  • Superior digital literacy, interpersonal and communications skills as well as the ability to work in a blended work environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in organization, planning, and managing projects, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated skills working within a team in an academic environment under strict timelines, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, to complete projects.
  • Practical experience in curriculum development, instructional development, accreditation, and program review is preferred.

$43.13 - $54.23 per hour (37.5 hrs/wk)
