The Registrar provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the College’s enrolment management, admissions, registration, and academic records functions. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, the Registrar plays a critical role in advancing institutional enrolment, while ensuring the integrity, consistency, and compliance of academic policies and procedures. The role supports data‑informed decision‑making, and champions a high‑quality, student‑centred experience aligned with the College’s mission and values. The successful candidate will:
Provide strategic leadership and subject‑matter expertise to advance the College’s enrolment planning in alignment with the College’s mission and values.
Define operational objectives and new‑entrant enrolment targets, and work collaboratively across the campus to establish and maintain clear enrolment management protocols.
Support the overall development and growth of the College through effective enrolment management strategies.
Lead change management initiatives within the Admissions team in response to shifting student demographics and institutional priorities.
Ensure the development, implementation, interpretation, and enforcement of academic policies and procedures related to admission, enrolment, coursework, and graduation requirements.
Communicate policy and procedural changes clearly and in a timely manner to students, staff, and stakeholders.
Steward admissions and student information systems to ensure consistent, transparent processes and to enhance the prospective and student experience.
Monitor and analyze enrolment and demographic data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend areas for targeted recruitment.
Oversee the Continuing Education, Transfer Credits and Degree Pathways, and Outreach and Awards functions, ensuring effective service delivery and student support.
Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff, including scheduling, performance feedback, professional development, and discipline where necessary.
Plan, prepare, and monitor the department’s budget in accordance with College objectives, policies, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
A Masters degree in education, administration, student services, or a related discipline, with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in enrolment management, registration, or student services within a post‑secondary environment; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Demonstrated ability to develop, interpret, and apply College, government, agency, and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Proven ability to make effective discretionary decisions in a high‑pressure, high‑volume environment with changing and occasionally competing priorities.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, administrators, staff, other post‑secondary institutions, external agencies, and the general public.
Experience in budget development, fiscal management, and project management.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience with registration systems and computerized academic records management.
