Admissions Advisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Student Services & Support is a seeking highly skilled, service-oriented individual for the position of Admissions Advisor at the Prince of Wales Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Respond to general inquiries via email and phone regarding Holland College and its programs.
  • Communicate with applicants to promote/support applicant-to-student conversion.
  • Maintain current, in-depth knowledge and understanding of Holland College programs, course offerings,and  academic requirements.
  • Perform tasks within Holland College’s student information systems (Colleague and CRM), including data management, record updates, and data integrity checks.
  • Conduct research related to admissions policies and procedures, as requested.
  • Assist with documenting admissions processes for staff training and operational use.
  • Process and interpret domestic and international applicant documentation, including transcripts and study permits.
  • Receive and process direct submission transcripts from institutions. 
  • Process confirmation of enrolment letters.
  • Assist with graduation, transcripts, and credential processing.
  • Assist with Campus Tour Day and other recruitment events. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary credential in Business Administration, Office Administration, Accounting, or a related field is required, preferably from a Holland College program, with a minimum of one (1) year of related experience.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, demonstrated through strong customer service, interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, dynamic team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and other computer related programs.
  • Ability to work effectively, cooperatively, and diplomatically with staff, students, and the public.

  • Flexibility in hours of work is required.

  • Familiarity with Holland College programs, admissions policies and procedures, and student information systems (Colleague and CRM) is considered an asset.

CLERK III as per the Memorandum of Agreement between Holland College and the PEI Union of Public Sector Employees – Administrative and Support. 

Salary:

$25.75 - $27.73 hourly (37.5 hrs/wk)
