Holland College recently awarded $500 tuition credits to two students who have registered for programs to be offered on the West Prince Campus in Alberton starting this September. Amanda Winchester has been accepted into the Administrative Assistant program, and Justin Lewis has been accepted into the Small Business Manager program. Both are from Tyne Valley.

Construction of the West Prince Campus in Alberton is on time and on budget. Scheduled to open in September 2011, the 21,400 square-foot, two-storey building will house two trades shop spaces, a lecture theatre, classrooms, a staff lounge, a student lounge and lunchroom, two computer labs and a resource room.

Five programs will be offered in the West Prince Campus, including the nine-month Administrative Assistant, Outdoor Power Equipment, and Welding certificate programs; the 35-week Small Business Management certificate program; and the two-year Sport and Leisure Management diploma program.

"Residents of the area have expressed a great deal of interest in the West Prince Campus, and applications are coming in at a steady pace," said West Prince Campus Manager Paula Foley."With the initial application review date coming up on February 28th, we anticipate that the volume of applications will increase in the coming weeks."

Students accepted into the West Prince Campus programs are eligible for a wide range of scholarships, awards, and bursaries.
