Supportive Care Assistant Microcredential

Description
Holland College has partnered with Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) to deliver a Supportive Care Assistant microcredential. As a Supportive Care Assistant, you will assist certified personal care providers and the health care teams to support clients in long-term care. The microcredential is subsidized by the Government of Canada and offered at no cost to participants. The microcredential consists of online theory training completed over a period of six weeks followed by a paid, 280 hour, seven-week on-the-job training placement.

Credit Related Information:
A Holland College Customized Training microcredential digital badge will be issued at the successful completion of the on-line theory training and OJT placement.

Prerequisites:
For English first language speakers, students must provide proof of proficiency as determined by the college (Grade 10 English or college admission testing may be used as an equivalency).

For English as a second language speakers, students must provide proof of English language skills (IELTS 6.0; CLB 6; CEFR B2) or equivalency as determined by the college.
