This was the third straight night of racing at Daytona, following the invitation-only Daytona Shootout on Sunday (race and pole winners only from the 2020 season), and The Clash on Monday (a front-row qualifying race). Jose Mercado would win the Shootout with Ryan Gibson winning The Clash, earning the pole-position in Tuesday’s Holland College 250; Darcy Ford would finish second and complete the front row.
The race saw excellent pack-racing action and pit-strategy for 100-laps, eventually won by Darcy Ford in his Atlantic Motorsports Ford Mustang. With the win, Ford locks himself into the playoffs.
Rounding out the top-five was Jonathan Warr (New York, USA - True North Racin’), Ryan Gibson (West Virginia, USA – Kobra Kai Racing), Jason Butler (Ontario, Canada – 519 E-Racing) and Jose Mercado (Florida, USA - Stars and Stripes Racing).
Gibson and Mercado were the stage winners in the race, each earning a playoff point, while Ford earns five playoff points for the race win.
The series will travel to the virtual-Phoenix Raceway next Tuesday, February 9 for the Fix Auto Charlottetown 250.
