Football Booster Club holds annual membership drive
July 17, 2013
Charlottetown, PE – The Holland Hurricanes Football Booster Club has launched its annual membership drive, club president Mark O’Halloran announced today.
The booster club, which helps to support the Holland College Hurricanes Football Club by raising funds for team operations, has given the team a solid fan base. The club was started three years ago, shortly after the football team was formed. The Hurricanes finished their season in first place two years ago, and went on to sweep the championship title. O’Halloran hopes that the booster club can help the team recapture the title.
“Having a strong fan base is vital to the morale of a team,” O’Halloran said. “For the players, seeing the fans in the stands cheering them on helps them stay pumped. This year, I’d like to see more boosters than ever at the games.”
O’Halloran said the boosters have a few new tactics that they will deploy this year to encourage participation at the games. Details will be released later in the summer.
New booster memberships are $150, and include two season passes for home games and Hurricanes gear. Booster renewals are $100 and include two season passes for home games. Corporate sponsorships are $500 for Bronze, $1,500 for Silver, and $2,500 for Gold. Corporate sponsorships include season passes, individual game passes and an array of Hurricanes gear.
