Holland College Human Performance Centre Stars of the Week
March 3, 2014
Each week the Holland College Human Performance Centre staff will be selecting it’s top two “Stars of the Week” based on their overall fitness performance during their team workouts. Last week’s male and female Stars of the Week are Cardell Rolle of the Hurricanes football team and Shaelyn Graham of the women’s hockey team!
Cardell Rolle is from Nassau City, New Providence, Bahamas. He is captain of the Hurricanes football team and is in the construction technology program at Holland College. Cardell has received Male Athlete of the Week at the HPC not only for his recent accomplishments in the gym (Squat of 405lbs.) but for his dedication and hard work during this off-season training program. Cardell has been consistently attending every training session while also being a leader while in the weight room. Congratulations to Cardell, keep up the great work!
Female Star of the Week – Shaelyn Graham
Shaelyn Graham, a second year women’s hockey player has been a leader in the gym and has shown eagerness to exercise. Her assistance to others in the gym has been noticed and she’s even made an effort to come to the gym for extra workouts.
Her leadership qualities shine in the gym when she’s with her teammates during workouts and helping everyone stay focused and on task.
There’s no question her hard work in the gym will carry over to her on ice play.
