Smart Play (School Age) Float at CHANCES

Job Description

CHANCES is seeking a flexible and experienced individual to join our Smart Play team as a Smart Play Float. This position provides support across multiple Smart Play locations, responding to staffing and program needs as they arise. The Smart Play Float plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of quality school-age programming. Responsibilities may include providing ratio and staff coverage, supporting daily activities and programming, assisting with more complex child or behavioural needs, and providing coaching, mentoring, and training to staff. This position works collaboratively with Smart Play Supervisors, staff, and the Coordinator to provide additional support where needed and help maintain consistent practices across Smart Play programs. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in different locations, adapting to changing needs, and building positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• School Age Certification
• Standard First Aid
• Food Safety
• Valid criminal record and vulnerable sector check
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Other

Previous experience in an early learning or child care setting is considered an asset, but not required. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow in this role.
