Chef Jennifer Bryant Named ’26 PEI Chef of the Year

May 28, 2026, Charlottetown — Chef Jennifer Bryant, food product developer at Canada’s Smartest Kitchen (CSK), has been named PEI Chef of the Year for the third time by the provincial branch of the Canadian Culinary Federation. She also won the Branch Communications award at both the local and regional levels and is currently nominated nationally for this award. 

As a graduate of Holland College’s Culinary Arts and Applied Degree in Culinary Operations programs, Chef Jen has been driving food innovation on PEI and beyond through her work at CSK since 2009. In her role, Chef Jen collaborates with clients to create and refine new food products and food styling initiatives.  

As a member of the Canadian Culinary Federation since 2005, Chef Jen has served as the provincial branch secretary since 2018.  Her leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail have strengthened how the branch supports Island chefs. 

“Chef Jen has been active in the Association for many years,” said Mark Gregory, President of the Culinary Federation of PEI. “She volunteers her time selflessly, often spearheading new initiatives and ideas, and truly represents the spirit of our membership.”

Receiving the PEI Chef of the Year award, as voted on by industry peers, is a prestigious honour” said Tim McRoberts, Director of CSK. “Her work reflects the high professional standard to which she holds herself. The impact of Canada’s Smartest Kitchen at Holland College remains strong because of this level of commitment.” 

With three PEI Chef of the Year titles, a distinguished career in product innovation, and a deep commitment to the hospitality industry, Chef Jen exemplifies leadership, passion, and excellence in the culinary profession.
