BBALL | Hurricanes take on Mounties and Rams in weekend ACAA action

November 17, 2017

The Holland Hurricanes men’s and women’s basketball teams are in action this weekend at home and on the road.

On Saturday in Sackville, NB the Hurricanes will take on the Mount Allison Mounties.  The women will get things started at 2pm with the men’s game following at 4pm.

Sunday will see the ‘Canes back home with the men taking on the Dal AC Rams at 4pm at the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement.

The Hurricanes women are 2-1 this season while the Mounties are a perfect 5-0.  This is the first time these two teams have met in 2017-18.

‘Canes victories have come against the UKC Blue Devils and UNBSJ Seawolves this season with their loss at the hands of the MSVU Mystics.  The Mounties have defeated the STU Tommies, Seawolves, Blue Devils, Mystics and Crandall Chargers.  The Mounties are the hosts of the 2018 CCAA National Women’s Basketball Championship in March.

The men’s Hurricanes enter the weekend at 3-0 with wins over the Blue Devils, Mystics and Seawolves to-date while the Mounties men are a perfect 5-0 to start the year.

On Sunday the Hurricanes will return home for a game against the 0-4 Dal AC Rams at 4pm.
