Hurricanes Announce 2025-2026 Award Winners

The Holland Hurricanes announced their award winners for the 2025–26 season on Thursday night at the Florence Simmons Performance Hall in Charlottetown on the Holland College Prince of Wales Campus.
The Gala began with team awards before moving into the major awards to close out the evening.
The Holland Hurricanes 2026 Athletes of the Year are Carson Gray (volleyball, Statford, P.E.) and Karissa George (soccer/basketball, New Glasgow, N.S.).
Gray was a dominant presence for the Hurricanes men’s volleyball team, playing a key role in their success throughout the season and earning recognition as one of the top performers in the conference.
George led the women’s soccer team to a first-place regular season finish with a 10-1-1 record and a semifinal appearance. In basketball, she helped guide the Hurricanes to an 11–7 record and a playoff berth. The second-year midfielder was named a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Canadian, ACAA Player of the Year, and a member of the ACAA First All-Conference Team.

- Female Rookie of the Year: Emilie Doucette (Cross-Country/Track & Field)
- Male Rookie of the Year: Harrison Munro (Soccer)
- Coach of the Year: Matt Carter (Women’s Hockey)
- Passion, Spirit, Pride Award: Hannah Brown (Women’s Volleyball)
- Hurricanes Award: Colleen & Dave Henderson
- Leadership in Sport Award: Bri Hughes (Hockey/Rugby)
- Citizenship Award: Noel Arnason
- President’s Award: Luke Potter
