Male Athlete of the Week: Matthew Peacock - Baseball

Fourth-year Pitcher/Outfielder Matthew Peacock earns this week’s Male Athlete of the Week honours. Peacock delivered another strong performance on the mound and at the plate this weekend, continuing his impressive stretch for the Hurricanes.

Peacock threw six scoreless innings against a strong UPEI lineup, striking out six while giving Holland a chance to win. He also contributed offensively, going 2-for-5 with a walk and an RBI.

It marked the second consecutive week Peacock has put together a strong start on the mound while making an impact at the plate, making him a key contributor for the Hurricanes.

Female Athlete of the Week: Georgia Doucette - Soccer

Third-year Centermid Georgia Doucette was a key piece of the Hurricanes’ midfield this weekend, helping connect the backline with the attack and keeping the team organized across the field.

Her strong soccer IQ and passing ability helped Holland maintain possession, control the pace of play and keep the team balanced throughout both matches.

Doucette also made her impact felt on the scoresheet Sunday, scoring a goal in the Hurricanes’ 4-0 win over the Crandall Chargers.

Doucette’s work in the midfield was an important part of the Hurricanes’ success this weekend, earning her Athlete of the Week honours.
