Description
This course examines aspects of the primary activities, distribution and inventory management, and the supporting activities of document management and procurement, which are integral to international trade logistics. This course examines how organizations obtain resources and what they need to know to control and manage logistical systems in relation to international trade. This coursed will be delivered in a condensed 2 day workshop format followed by a 30-day self-study period to prepare for the online FITT assessment.
Credit Related Information:
Completion of Global Value Chain provides credit toward the FITT Diploma in International Trade or FITT Certificate in International Trade (a total of 3 of 6 courses are required). Earning the FITT Diploma demonstrates advanced knowledge and applied competencies in international business. It is also a key step in attaining the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP®|FIBP®) designation, a prestigious industry credential recognized by employers worldwide. Credit Structure: Each FITTskills course-including Global Value Chain -can be taken individually and counts as one credit toward the FITT Diploma in International Trade (a total of 6 courses are required). Assessment: Participants may complete an optional FITTskills assessment following the course to earn a formal credit. Recognition: The CITP®|FIBP® designation, awarded by FITT, is endorsed by Global Affairs Canada and recognized by trade organizations and employers internationally as a standard of excellence in global business.
