Hurricanes hosting Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association AGM

The Hurricanes will welcome the other eight ACAA representatives from Crandall University (Moncton, NB), Dalhousie Agricultural College (Truro, NS), UNB Saint John (Saint John, NB), Mount Allison University (Sackville, NB), Universite de Sainte-Anne (Church Point, NS), University of Kings College (Halifax, NS), St. Thomas University (Fredericton, NB) and Mount Saint Vincent University (Halifax, NS) to the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown to cover off the affairs of the conference as it prepares for the 2014-2015 school year.
“We are very pleased to be coming to Charlottetown for the ACAA AGM this week. Holland College, led by Albert Roche, has been leaders in the area of hosting and sport tourism. We are very excited to be the recipients of the famous PEI hospitality”, shared Mike Eagles, President of the ACAA and Athletics Director at St. Thomas University.
This is the second time Holland College has hosted this event.
Holland College Athletics and Recreation Director Albert Roche enjoys the role of playing host.
“We will enjoy bringing the Athletic Directors of the ACAA to Holland College this week. We welcome any chance to showcase Holland College and Prince Edward Island to others. We look forward to three fruitful days of discussions on how we can continue to grow intercollegiate sport in Atlantic Canada.”
The ACAA currently oversees competition in seven sports; Volleyball, Basketball, Cross Country Running, Golf, Badminton, Soccer and Rugby.
