This program will give you a taste of all your career options—both in the spotlight and behind the scenes.
Dance, acting, improv, and singing—you’ll experience it all. Plus you’ll discover all the other skills necessary to make sure the show goes on, such as stage management, design, script notation, and more.
Upon graduation you’ll know which role you want to play in this exciting industry and will be ready to go on to more advanced training.

The Holland College School of Performing Arts (SoPA) is a partnership between Holland College and Confederation Centre of the Arts.
Auditions are by appointment – please contact Peggy Reddin by email or by phone at 902-629-1196 to schedule your audition. Auditions taking place April 22, 2018. To get an appointment to audition, you must apply for the program.

- Résumé including related training, work and volunteer experience with applicable dates, membership in groups, associations or athletics, awards and distinctions, and any other information about yourself relevant to the program.
By the end of this program, you will have gained the skills required for acceptance into more advanced training in your chosen area, and will have prepared audition pieces.
The National Occupational Classification (NOC) is the nationally accepted reference on occupations in Canada. It organizes over 40,000 job titles into 500 occupational group descriptions. It is used daily by thousands of people to compile, analyze and communicate information about occupations, and to understand the jobs found throughout Canada’s labour market. This program provides skills training that falls within the duties described in the following: NOC 5135.

Interested in taking a credit course but don’t want to register for an entire program? Credit courses provide credit toward a diploma or certificate program. Holland College has a variety of options for studying part time during the day, or, in some instances, in the evening or on the weekend.
