Charlottetown, PE - The 10th annual Holland College Golf Classic was a great success again this year with more than 125 people participating in the event. The highlight of the day occurred when participant Jeff Ready recorded a hole in one, earning him $50,000 for his effort.

Each hole featured a special surprise, from seafood chowder at the 1st hole to a football challenge on the 15th. Team prizes were awarded at a steak and lobster supper in the evening; and the evening was topped off with the auctioning of a nine-day trip for two to Hawaii.

The Golf Classic, which was held this year at Belvedere Golf & Country Club, is an annual event from which the proceeds provide awards for deserving students and support for varsity athletics.

"We are especially grateful for the support of the many contributors and participants who believe in Holland College," said Brian McMillan, President of Holland College. "It was a successful event and our students will benefit tremendously."

Plans for next year's tournament are already underway.
