Guidance Counsellor Educational Excellence Award
This award will be presented annually to a guidance counsellor from Atlantic Canada who has demonstrated an unparalleled investment in supporting student success. This person is viewed as an authentic leader amongst their peers and members of the AARAO community at large.
Experience: Is currently a Guidance Counsellor and has been an educator for 5+ years.
Counselling: Passionate about supporting student success. Goes above and beyond to create accessible opportunities for their students.
Leadership: Engages in delivering educational excellence through a variety of extra-curricular activities through their High School (coach, volunteer, committee leader etc.).
AARAO: Actively partnered with the association to deliver accessible post-secondary opportunities to his/her students.
AARAO Leadership and Service Award
This award will be presented annually to an AARAO Member who has demonstrated significant leadership in the post-secondary environment throughout their career. This person has been thoroughly engaged in supporting AARAO’s efforts to develop our members and advocate for post-secondary education in Atlantic Canada. Dedicated, hard working and committed to leadership through service, he/she has excelled at empowering others through education.
Experience: Has been in a Registrar, Recruitment, Admissions or Enrolment role for 5+ years.
AARAO: Actively support the associations’ efforts to deliver service to members and ultimately to the students who are at the very core of our work.
Leadership: A passionate leader who has constantly made advancements in their field to support the growth and development of their home institution as well as AARAO.
Advocacy: Dedicated to supporting students as they journey through their post-secondary experience.
