Welcome to the 10th Annual Atlantic Golf Symposium

On behalf of the third year Professional Golf management class, we would like to thank you for your participation in the 10th Annual Atlantic Golf Symposium. This event has been used as a practical learning tool for our class this year. We were involved in all aspects of the organization of this event - writing letters, soliciting sponsors, arranging door prizes, contacting and arranging speakers.

Our past golf symposiums have proven to be very educational and informative, with the likes of Dr. Joe Parent and Dr. Steven Norris, both of whom attended the 2009 Symposium. It was our goal for this year's symposium that you not only take something away for the benefit of your business, but also for the benefit of your golf game and instruction. We believe that this year's golf symposium will be extremely beneficial to not only golfers and industry personnel, but the general public as well. We are pleased to announce the following confirmed speakers for the 10th Annual Atlantic Golf Symposium:

  • Jason Glass Jason Glass, BHK CSCS TPI Lead Presenter - Jason Glass is Canada's top golf strength and conditioning specialists. Mr. Glass owns and operates Kinetica Golf Performance, specializing in golf biomechanics, physical assessments and functional strength training. Mr. Glass has worked with every level of golfer from major championship winners to the average weekend player. He currently works as the assistant coach for the University of British Columbia varsity golf program and is also the head strength and conditioning coach for the British Columbia Golf Association. Jason is a professional speaker and lead presenter for the Titleist Performance Institute. His enthusiasm and passion for training makes him a crowd favorite.
  • Gord Workum Gord Workum, CPGA TPI Lead Presenter - Gord Workum is one of the top five golf biomechanics in the world and is a lead presenter for the Titleist Performance Institute seminars. He has 23 years of experience as a golf professional (CPGA) and is currently working for Links Fitness Korea, located in Seoul, Korea. Gord has worked with over 40 touring professionals from the PGA, LPGA, KPGA, KLPGA, JLPGA and other Asian tours. He offers his 3D motion capture services across Canada and the United States. Gord will be lecturing on 3D motion capture and the kinematic sequence of the golf swing.

Ted won the Canadian PGA Club Pro of the year in 2002, the Canadian PGA Merchandiser of the year in 2003 and again in 2008, and the Canadian PGA Junior Leader of the year in 2007. He brings many years of industry experience to our symposium, and will be presenting on increasing profit margins and buying for your customer.
