This event serves as a practical learning tool for our students. The students are involved in every aspect of the organization of this event. All of their business communication skills have been utilized throughout this process. They have written letters, analyzed similar events/conferences/symposiums in North America, and solicited sponsors, door prizes, presenters and guests through the phone, fax and email communication channels.

This is the third year Holland College has been able to work in association with both the CPGA and the National Golf Course Owner's Association to present this symposium. We hope this collabrative effort will benefit both those in attendance and strengthen the school's relationship with these organizations.

Our past symposiums have proven to be very informative and educational. We have assembled an excellent group of experienced and knowledgeable presenters. It is our hope that you will be able to take at least one great idea from this event to improve your operation.

In addition to the comprehensive itinerary, we have organized some great social activities to further enhance your enjoyment of the symposium and networking opportunities.

Our Golf Programs use a hands on approach to assignments and projects within the classroom setting to increase the practical learning environment. Projects have included Golf Resort Operation Surveys, Consumer Surveys, Staff Training Seminars, Quality Service Analysis and Facility Case Studies.
