The Fine Print

Holland College is pleased to offer a smoke-free residence in the Charlottetown area. All costs, including a $250 damage deposit are due and payable at registration. Fees are quoted on the full academic year - September - April 30th. This does not meet the housing requirements for all programs and you should check with the program for start and end dates before applying to Residence. Occupancy is based on a one person per bed policy. Applicants for apartments will be matched as closely as possible based on the student profile (age, gender, programs, etc.) Students are encouraged to find their own roommates, whenever possible.

Although students can only be considered for residence AFTER they have been accepted into the College by the Admissions Office, we encourage you to apply to Residence when you apply for a program. Students can only be accepted into a Holland College Residence after the Admissions Office has accepted them into a College program. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received. Initial residence application review date is March 1. Rental of rooms will be prioritized on a first come, first served basis. Once the facility is full, students will be offered an opportunity to be placed on an accommodations waiting list. Once a unit or bedroom has been offered in a residence, a residence confirmation deposit of $500 (Please Note: This residence confirmation fee is separate and distinct from the admissions confirmation fee) must be submitted to the Holland College Admissions Office before the deadline specified in the offer letter. The deposit will be applied towards the student's first semester's accommodations fee and is non-refundable after the date specified in the offer letter. The $250 damage deposit will be refunded when the student withdraws from the facility or at the end of the term provided the room is in the same condition as on the move-in date (with the exception of normal wear).

Description
Apartment fees include all furniture, appliances, heat, electricity, cable TV, high speed Internet, local telephone service, and parking. The building is smoke-free. A $250 damage deposit is due and payable at registration.

Students are responsible for their own toiletries, linens, kitchen utensils, etc. Cleaning supplies will be available on each floor or at the front desk. Students who will require long distance service are requested to obtain a calling card.
