Culinary Bootcamps returning this summer

Charlottetown, PE – Holland College will be offering its award-winning Culinary Bootcamps, starting in May with some incredible culinary experiences in the newly renovated kitchens of The Culinary Institute of Canada at the Tourism and Culinary Centre on the Charlottetown Waterfront.

The $7.5 million revitalization project at the Tourism and Culinary Centre enable Holland College Culinary Bootcamps to offer authentic, delicious, and hands-on culinary experiences that are sure to impress foodies from around the world.

The revitalization project included equipment upgrades, expansion of the current kitchens, the creation of a butchery area, a new marché-style cafeteria, and the expansion and renovation of the dining room to provide visitors with an exceptional view of the Charlottetown Harbour, and into the kitchens, where they can watch students and chef instructors at work. The additions and upgrades ensure that The Culinary Institute of Canada continues to provide students with first-class, world-renowned training, preparing them to become leaders in the industry.

Culinary Bootcamps Coordinator Karen Wortman, is looking forward to introducing foodies from around the world to the state-of-the-art kitchens and the talented chef who leads the Culinary Bootcamps.

This is the ninth year that Holland College has offered Culinary Bootcamps, which have been featured in Chatelaine magazine, the Globe and Mail, Breakfast Television Winnipeg and Toronto, and on several worldwide travel blogs. The Island Flavours Culinary Bootcamp was named one of the top Canadian Signature Experiences by the Canadian Tourism Commission for three consecutive years.
