Correctional Officer Squad 41 graduates

Charlottetown, PE Seven students graduated as Squad 41 of the Correctional Officers program at the Atlantic Police Academy in a ceremony held in Slemon Park recently.

Diana MacKinnon, Director of Nova Scotia Correctional Services addressed the graduates. Cadet and course leader Kerri McNamara was the student speaker and recipient of both the Highest Academic Award and the Best Overall Cadet Award.

The 24-week Correctional Officer program is offered twice annually at the Atlantic Police Academy, a division of Holland College. The program provides students with the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career as a correctional officer in Canadian correctional institutions.
