Atlantic Police Academy graduates Correctional Officer Squad 42

Charlottetown, PE – Twenty cadets graduated as Squad 42 of the Correctional Officer program in a ceremony at the Atlantic Police Academy recently.
The Honorable Janice Sherry, Minister of Environment, Labour and Justice and Attorney General for the Province of Prince Edward Island was the guest speaker. Cadet Lewis Warrington was the student speaker.
Jamie Gushard won Best All Around Cadet and Nathan Rainnie won Highest Academic award. A special award, the Nova Scotia Aboriginal Employment Partnership Leadership award, was presented to Shanelle Martin.
The 24-week Correctional Officer program is specifically designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career as a Correctional Officer in Canadian correctional institutions.
