Hurricanes Fitness – Schedule

Spring Fitness Offerings

 

Swing Dancing –

  • Classes will start the week of May 3rd and will run for 8 weeks:
    • Option 1 Lindy Focus: Wednesdays 6:30pm – 7:30pm PM (first class May 3 and last class June 21)
    • Option 2 Charleston Focus: Wednesdays 8:00pm – 9:00pm PM (first class May 3 and last class June 21)
  • Classes held at Holland College in the Centre for Community Engagement (CCE) at 323 Grafton Street
  • 2 classes/week @ 6 weeks = 12 classes.  One class only, for 8 weeks – $80 , $60 for CCE Members ($40 for students) Both classes, for 8 weeks – $120 $90 for CCE Members ($60 for students)

PowerMat Pilates Classes (Level 3) with Carrie Weatherbie

  • Classes will start the week of May 8 and will run for 6 weeks:
    • Option 1 NOONTIME: Monday & Wednesday 12:10-12:50 PM (first class May 8 and last class June 14)
    • Option 2 AFTER WORK: Tuesday & Thursday 4:15-5:00 PM (first class May 9 and last class June 15)
  • Classes held at Holland College in the Centre for Community Engagement (CCE) at 323 Grafton Street
  • 2 classes/week @ 6 weeks = 12 classes.  Students $24 Members $72, Non Members $96

  • Classes will start the week of May 8 and will run for 6 weeks: (regular drop in class for May 1st)
    • Mondays 12:10-12:50 PM (first class May 8 and last class June 14)
  • Classes held at Holland College in the Centre for Community Engagement (CCE) at 323 Grafton Street
  • 1 class/week @ 6 weeks = 6 classes.  Students $12, Members $36, Non Members $48

  • Classes will start the week of May 8 and will run for 6 weeks: (regular drop in class for May 2nd & 4th)
    • NOONTIME: Tuesday & Thursday 12:10-12:50 PM (first class May 8 and last class June 14)
  • Classes held at Holland College in the Centre for Community Engagement (CCE) at 323 Grafton Street
  • 2 classes/week @ 6 weeks = 12 classes.  Students $24 Members $72, Non Members $96

Walking/Running Club – Join the Hurricane Hustlers running team for the IWK Bridge Run

  • PWC Walking/Running Club meets on Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:00pm at CCE Front Desk – no sign up required. 
  • Other campuses are encouraged to form walking/running clubs

 

  • The Bridge Run has various categories:

Chip-Timed Runs: Includes a t-shirt and a special IWK Run for Families Confederation Bridge medal. Distances are 5 km, 10 km, 21 km.

Non-Timed Walks: Includes a certificate of participation. Distances are 13 km or <13 km.

Wheelchair: 5k and 13k distance only.

  • Team members can sign up for any of the above categories.
  • How to sign up?  Visit the following link and join the team “Hurricane Hustlers”.
  • Staff Members!!! Be sure to also email wellness@hollandcollege.com to entered into the draw for the fitbit
