WVBALL | ‘Canes ready for home-and-home weekend with the Dal AC Rams

The Holland Hurricanes and Dal AC Rams will take part in an unusual home-and-home series this weekend with the ‘Canes hosting the Rams at the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement on Saturday at 1pm, before the Rams host the ‘Canes at 2pm in Truro, NS on Sunday.

The Hurricanes enter the weekend in fourth place in the ACAA standings with a 7-3 record while the Rams have struggled this season, sitting at 1-9 and in seventh.

The Hurricanes trail the MSVU Mystics (10-0), STU Tommies (8-4) and UNBSJ Seawolves (8-4) in the standings.

This is the second match of the season between these two teams with the Hurricanes having won on November 18 in Charlottetown in straight sets.

Hurricanes second year player Megan LeBlanc leads the ACAA in kills per set (3.09) and kills (102) while Dana Trainor leads in digs per set (3.70) and digs (122).  Brittany States leads the ACAA in hitting percentage (.353) while Gracie Ferguson is tops in assists per set with 7.12.

The Hurricanes next home games takes place on January 27 and 28 when they host the UNBSJ Seawolves at 6pm on Saturday and 12pm on Sunday.
