WRING | Holland Hurricanes attending Harbour City Lakers Colt tournament

The Holland Hurricanes women’s ringette team will travel to Dartmouth, NS this weekend to compete in the university division of the 39th annual City of Lakes Tournament taking place from Thursday through Sunday.
The Hurricanes players and coaches are excited for this weekend’s action and will open up their tournament on Friday at 5pm when they play the Saint Mary’s University Huskies.
The Tournament will see the Hurricanes play four round-robin games in total with the top two teams advancing to the championship game on Sunday 4:15pm.
The ‘Canes second round-robin game takes place on Friday at 9pm versus Acadia before playing the Huskies at 1pm and Axewomen at 8pm on Saturday.
Hurricanes forward Isabelle Saunders, a Computer Networking Technology student at Holland College, is looking forward to this weekend’s action.
“We’ve been practicing some different plays and we’ve also been conditioning hard which I think will help us a lot with the amount of games we have to play this weekend. I think that playing in a tournament will bring excitement and even more of a competitive drive to our team. The team has the potential to do very well this weekend, we just have to go and play our game.”

The Hurricanes will play their next home games on January 27 when they host the Acadia Axewomen at the Gateway Arena in Borden for games at 12:45pm and 3pm.
