Women’s Volleyball Hurricanes fall to Dragons

The women’s volleyball Hurricanes hosted the Universite de Sainte Anne Dragons on Sunday afternoon in ACAA regular season action at the Centre for Community Engagement.

This was the first game of 2014 for the Hurricanes while the Dragons played the day prior in Truro versus the Dalhousie Agricultural College Rams.

The Dragons would jump out to an early lead with a win in the first set by a score of 25-13.

They would follow this up with a second set victory of 25-18.

The Hurricanes would attempt to begin a comeback in the third set, holding a lead of 20-15 but would ultimately drop the set 25-22.

With the loss the Hurricanes fall to 0-8 on the season while the Dragons now sit at 2-6.

The Hurricanes return to action this weekend in New Brunswick with a game on Saturday versus the STU Tommies at 1pm in Fredericton followed by a game on Sunday at 10am in Saint John versus the UNBSJ Seawolves.
