Women’s volleyball complete games in Nova Scotia

The women’s volleyball Hurricanes travelled to Halifax on Friday afternoon for an evening matchup with the MSVU Mystics at 7:30 pm. The Mystics sit in first place in the ACAA standings with an undefeated record.
The Hurricanes went on to fall to the Mystics in three straight sets, 25-20, 25-12 and 25-13.
Emily Caldwell and Kendra Dawkins led the Hurricanes in kills, each with five in the game while Dawkins also added 11 digs in the match.
With the victory the Mystics improve to 16-0 on the season.
On Saturday the Hurricanes would travel to Truro to take on the Dalhousie Agricultural College Rams in a late afternoon matchup.
The Rams, currently sitting in third place in the ACAA standings with a 9-6 record went on to defeat the Hurricanes in three straight sets, 25-12, 25-22 and 25-23.
Nikki Baker led the ‘Canes with eight kills in the match while Kaleigh Thibault had 11 digs in the game. Kendra Dawkins had four service aces in the match.
The Hurricanes now have just two ACAA regular season games remaining on their schedule, both are home games at the Centre for Community Engagement this upcoming weekend versus UNBSJ.
On Saturday versus the Seawolves the ‘Canes are in action at 2pm while Sunday’s game takes place at 10am.
