Goaltender Candace Hopkinson has started every game for the ‘Canes thus far this season.

The Hurricanes women’s hockey team is hosting the Southside Lynx senior women’s team on Sunday at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown as an exhibition game to help prepare for next weekend’s ECWHL regular season games with the Acadia University. Game time is 5:30 pm and admission is free.

The Hurricanes, currently 0-2 on their season following 4-2 and 3-2 road losses to the top seeded UNB Red Blazers are eager to get in the win column.

Cape Breton University is the fourth team in the league.

This Sunday’s game will be a good test for the Hurricanes; these teams have met twice already in exhibition play this season. The Hurricanes winning the first game 2-0 and tied the second game 2-2.

Next weekend’s home opener for the Hurricanes will take place at 8 pm at the APM Centre in Cornwall on Saturday, November 23rd while the Sunday, November 24th game will be held at The Plex at Slemon Park with a 12:10 pm puck drop.
