WHKY | Hurricanes to face UNB in Fredericton this weekend

The Holland Hurricanes women’s hockey team will hit the road this weekend for a pair of games against the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
The Hurricanes enter play with a 9-2-1 (won-lost-tied) record and sit in first place in the league standings while UNB is five points back with a 7-5-0 record.
The Hurricanes have the top three scorers in the league with Alyssa Ferguson and Brailyne Jenkins tied for first with 13 points this season; Hailey Matthews has ten points to sits in third.
These two teams met last weekend in Charlottetown with both teams picking up a win.
The season series now stands at 4-2 for the Hurricanes with the other wins coming on November 4 and 5 in Fredericton and November 20 in Charlottetown while the other loss was on November 19 in Charlottetown.
Kate Northrup, goaltender for UNB leads the league with a 0.50 GAA while Hurricanes goaltenders Kara Mason (1.17) and Mackenzie Koughan (1.63) sit in second and third. UNB’s Haley Dickinson sits in fourth with a 2.50 GAA.
