This is the second time Walikraam has won this championship, last year winning the event by two strokes. She has also been perfect in her season thus far, winning all three ACAA events she has entered.
The women’s team went on to finish in second place in the team competition.
Locke, a second year Golf Club Management student from Digby, Nova Scotia shot impressive rounds of 70 and 69 to finish at five-under-par for the competition, 14 strokes clear of the runner-up. During Sunday’s round, Locke added an exclamation point on his round when he aced the par three sixth hole, it was Locke’s third hole-in-one this season. In Locke’s other two ACAA tournaments he’s competed in this fall, he tied for first in his first event at Mactaquac Golf Club in Fredericton, New Brunswick while he finished third at the event in Pugwash, Nova Scotia at Northumberland Links.
Both the men’s and women’s golf teams are ready to travel to Quebec City for the CCAA PING national golf championships on October 14th to 18th at the Royal Quebec Golf Club.
