Vipers take wind out of Men’s Hockey Hurricanes

Brett Hogan scored two goals and assisted on another as the Kensington Vipers defeated the Holland Hurricanes on Saturday night in Island Junior Hockey League action.
Spencer Montgomery had a goal and two assists while Josh Bowman had two goals. Alex Montgomery had a goal and a helper and Logan Garnhum a goal.
Adam Wight, Brandon Gallant and Ty Price each had two assists while Kyle Doucette had one.
Dylan McQuaid made 25 saves for the shutout while Matt Derry started for the Hurricanes, making 14 saves on 19 shots. Aaron Arsenault entered the game with fifteen minutes remaining in the second period and stopped 21 of 23 shots for the Hurricanes.
Kensington led 3-0 after the first period and 5-0 through fourty minutes.
The Vipers currently lead the IJHL standings with a record of 12-1-0 while the Hurricanes sit in fourth place at 3-8-2.
Next up for the Hurricanes, they travel to Summerside to host the Western Red Wings at The Plex at Slemon Park for a special home game at the Holland College Slemon Park campus on Saturday, November 23rd at 8:25 pm.
