It’s only the second week for ACAA soccer but it’s traditionally one of the most important weekends of the season when the ‘Canes make their trip to Halifax to face both the UKC Blue Devils and MSVU Mystics.

This Saturday, the Hurricanes will begin their weekend with games against the UKC Blue Devils at 2 and 4pm (W/M).  Entering the weekend, the UKC women are 0-0-2 while the men are 1-0-1; they faced off against the STU Tommies and UNBSJ Seawolves last weekend.

The action will continue on Sunday against the MSVU Mystics; both games are being played at 2pm.  Last weekend the Mystics women went 0-1-1 while the men were 1-0-1; they also faced the Tommies and Seawolves.

Last weekend the Hurricanes men opened up their season with back to back victories while the women went 1-1; both teams faced the Dal AC Rams followed by the Crandall Chargers on the road.

After two games the Hurricanes women have been led by Nicole Fergusson, Ali Fahie, Sabrina Molnar and Kendra Craswell who have all recorded one goal each.  Cassidy Durston has played both games in goal for the ‘Canes.

The men have been led by James Briand with four goals while Ibra Sanoh has scored three; Austin Blades, Charles Aondo and Harrison Ellison have each scored once.  Brandon Lund has been the ‘Canes keeper in all games thus far.

The Hurricanes will play their 2017 home opener on Saturday, September 23 when they face the STU Tommies at the Terry Fox Complex in Cornwall at 2 and 4pm (W/M).
