Men’s Soccer ‘Canes add two new recruits

The Holland College men’s soccer Hurricanes announced on Thursday that they have added two center midfielders to their lineup for the upcoming season.
George Coles from London, England and Tyler Ellis from London, Ontario will join the Hurricanes on August 25th when their training camp officially begins for the 2013 ACAA season.
Coles who stands six feet tall and weighs 177 lbs previously played for the University of Maine Fort-Kent after playing for the Colchester United club in England which is a program that incorporates soccer and academics. He was part of the team that successfully won the NEESA cup two consecutive years.
Ellis who stands 5 foot 11 and weighs 160 lbs previously played for the University of Maine Fort-Kent and the Marconi club in London Ontario. He also played for the Colorado Rapids academy team.
“It is always great to add players with varsity experience. Both these players come from a strong program that has had success. They will add new ingredients to the team and offer more depth to the squad” said head coach Jonathan Vos.
The men’s and women’s Hurricanes teams will spend the following weeks training and practicing before they travel to UNB Saint John on Saturday, August 31st for games at 1 and 3 pm with the Seawolves. The teams will then continue to travel to the University of Maine Fort-Kent for games versus University of Vermont Tech on Sunday, September 1st (12 and 2 PM local time) and versus the University of Maine Fort-Kent on Monday, September 2nd (12 and 2 PM local time).
The teams kick off their ACAA regular season on Saturday, September 7th when they host the Mount St. Vincent University Mystics at 2 and 4 PM at the Terry Fox Complex in Cornwall.
