MBBALL | NBA Championship Trophy to be featured at CCAA Nationals hosted by Holland Hurricanes

The Larry O’Brien Trophy, which is awarded annually to the NBA Champions, is making the trek to PEI for two days this week as part of the 2017 CCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship hosted by the Holland Hurricanes.
This edition of the trophy will be awarded to the 2017 NBA Champions and kept by the team.
The trophy will be featured at the Awards Banquet on Wednesday night where players will have a chance to have their photo taken with the prestigious trophy.
On Thursday, the trophy will be in the lobby of the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement from 1pm through 3pm; it will also be featured at half-time of the 3pm game between the Nomades de Montmorency and the Lethbridge Kodiaks.
This week the Hurricanes are hosting the championship in Charlottetown featuring the top eight collegiate basketball teams in Canada.
The ‘Canes enter the tournament ranked fourth and will take on the SAIT Trojans (Alberta) on Thursday at 6pm AST in their first game of the championship.
