Rookie player Kaleigh Thibault is excited to begin her first season with the Hurricanes.

The Holland Hurricanes are ready to kick start their regular season and they will do just that this weekend when they host the Dalhousie Agricultural College Rams for back to back games on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s home opener will take place at 7 pm while Sunday’s game begins at 11 am. The Hurricanes play out of the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement.

Kaleigh Thibault, a first year dental assisting student is looking forward to this weekend. “We have been practicing a lot and working hard. I am really excited to show what we can do on the court.”

The women’s team has undoubtedly struggled over the last number of seasons but is coming off of an exhibition victory last Saturday versus the UPEI Panthers. The team is optimistic for the upcoming season under head coach Lori-Beth Dwyer who is entering her first season with the Hurricanes.

If you can’t make it down to check out the action in person both games will be available to watch free of charge online at www.acaatv.ca.
