Hurricanes soccer on road to finish ACAA regular season games
October 18, 2013
The Hurricanes are in New Brunswick this weekend for their final two ACAA regular season games. Currently both the men’s and women’s teams are sitting in third place but with the standings so close, all four games are very important for both teams who are hoping to represent Holland College at next weekend’s ACAA soccer championships being played at the Terry Fox Complex in Cornwall.
On Saturday both teams are in Fredericton to take on the Saint Thomas University Tommies at 2 pm (women’s) and 4 pm (men’s). In the previous matchups between the two teams the women Hurricanes lost 1-0 while the men’s team tied 0-0.
On Sunday the teams continue their trip of New Brunswick with games versus the UNB Saint John Seawolves at noon (women’s) and 2pm (men’s). These two teams played in Cornwall on September 21st with the Women winning 2-0 while the men fell 3-1.
The top four teams in the standings after this weekend will qualify for the ACAA Championships taking place in Cornwall on October 25th, 26th and 27th.
