The Holland College Women’s Volleyball team wanted to make a difference this holiday season. Focussing on making Christmas a bit brighter and easier for those in need, they raised funds to purchase gifts for the residents of Anderson House. Anderson House is the provincial emergency shelter for women and children who are experiencing abuse in their lives. Anderson House services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides confidential support and information.

The team organized a number of fundraisers leading up to the holidays, including a bake sale, 50/50 raffle and a gift basket raffle. Their hard work paying off, the team managed to raise $450 to purchase gift cards, help Santa out with stocking stuffers for 3 children, and make a monetary donation to the shelter.

The girls would like to thank the Holland College community for their support in this community service project.
