BBALL | ‘Canes/Blue Devils to battle on the court this weekend in Charlottetown

Four games between the Holland Hurricanes and UKC Blue Devils will take place this weekend at the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement in ACAA regular season basketball action.

Saturday will see games played at 4 and 6pm (W/M) with games continuing on Sunday at 12 and 2pm (W/M).

The women’s Hurricanes are 5-2 this season and sit in third in the ACAA standings with UKC on their heels in fourth place; they hold a record of 4-5.

These two teams have met once this season with the ‘Canes picking up the 71-56 victory on November 5 in Halifax, NS.

This week the CCAA released their national women’s basketball rankings with the Hurricanes positioned at number eleven in the country.

The men’s Hurricanes are 8-1 this season and in second place in the ACAA standings while UKC has struggled to a 2-9 record and sit in seventh.

On November 5 in Halifax, NS the Hurricanes defeated UKC 115-86 in their only matchup to-date this season.

The ‘Canes are currently number six in the CCAA’s national men’s basketball rankings released this week.
