BAD | Hurricanes set to compete at ACAA event in Halifax this weekend

The UKC Blue Devils will be the hosts of this weekend’s ACAA badminton event in Halifax, NS when teams from Holland College, Dal AC, Université de Sainte-Anne, Mount Allison and UKC battle in the third competition of the season.
Play will begin on Friday at 7pm and continue on Saturday at 9am.
The Hurricanes have finished in third place in each of the first two events this season.
Competing players for the ‘Canes this weekend are Jonah Wilton (men’s singles A) and Matt Barlow (men’s singles B) while David Cozens and Barlow will pair up for men’s doubles A and Wilton and Connor Loerick will compete in men’s doubles B.
Emma Hughes will compete for the ‘Canes in women’s singles A while Hughes and Loerick will represent the Hurricanes in mixed doubles A.
Later this season the Hurricanes will host the 2018 ACAA Badminton Championships in Charlottetown on February 17 and 18 at the Holland College Centre for Community Engagement.
