BAD | Hughes and Barlow ready to begin play at CCAA Nationals

The 2018 CCAA National Badminton Championships kick off on Thursday in Edmonton, AB with two Hurricanes athletes ready for singles competition.
Emma Hughes and Matt Barlow, both of Summerside, PEI, will represent the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association in the women’s and men’s singles competitions; they qualified with their strong play at the ACAA Championships earlier this month in Charlottetown.
The ACAA takes on the PACWEST (British Columbia) conference on Thursday at 1pm before challenging the OCAA (Ontario) wildcard team at 4pm and finally, the OCAA at 7pm.
Play will continue on Friday when the ACAA faces the ACAC (Alberta) at 1pm before ending the day versus the ACAC wildcard team at 4pm.
All times are Atlantic Standard Time.
This season, Emma Hughes posted a singles record of 21-5 versus ACAA competitors while Barlow posted a singles record of 13-7.
