AOTW | Shea and Beach named Hurricanes Athletes of the Week

Women’s cross country runner Haley Shea and men’s baseball player Colton Beach have been named the Holland Hurricanes Athletes of the Week for the week ending September 17.
Shea, a first year runner from Tignish, PEI, finished in fourth place while the Hurricanes women’s team finished in fourth at the first ACAA meet of the season in Sackville, NB; the event was hosted by Mount Allison University.
The Hurricanes next event is on Saturday, September 30 in Church Point, NS hosted by the Universite de Sainte-Anne Dragons.
Haley Shea is currently studying in the Human Services program.
Beach, a second year third baseman from Gormanville, NS, leads the Hurricanes in home runs and RBI’s this season. He helped the Hurricanes go 3-1 this weekend versus St. FX and UNB, positioning the Hurricanes at 5-1 and in first place in the Atlantic Conference.
The Hurricanes return to the field this weekend when they host UNB and Acadia in double-headers at Memorial Field at Victoria Park on Saturday and Sunday.
Colton Beach is studying in the Sport & Leisure Management program.
