AOTW | Sanoh and Molnar claim athlete of the week honours

Hurricanes soccer players Ibra Sanoh and Sabrina Molnar have been named the Holland Hurricanes Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 15.
Sanoh, a striker from Conakry, Guinea found the net on eight different occasions in his last week of ACAA play. He scored three goals Wednesday as the Hurricanes defeated Crandall University 4-0 in Cornwall, PE and he scored a remarkable five goals Sunday afternoon as the Hurricanes bested the DAL AC Rams 8-1.
The men’s soccer Hurricanes are currently 10-0-0 (wins-losses-ties) and sit atop the ACAA standings.
Sanoh studies in Holland College’s Marketing & Advertising Management program.
Molnar, a second-year striker from Ottawa, Ontario scored a pair of goals this week in ACAA play. She scored the Hurricanes’ lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Crandall Wednesday evening, and she gave her team a 2-0 lead at DAL AC Sunday afternoon, before the Rams stormed back with three unanswered goals.
The women’s soccer Hurricanes are off to a 3-5-2 start, and they are looking to move up the ACAA standings in the final weekend of play.
Molnar is a Travel & Tourism Management student at Holland College.
The Hurricanes will travel through New Brunswick next weekend, making stops at STU Saturday, and UNBSJ Sunday.
The women will play the Tommies (5-3-2) at 1:00 PM Saturday, and will wrap up their weekend with a 1:00 PM start against the Seawolves (0-6-4) Sunday.
The men will face off with the Tommies (1-7-2) at 5:00 PM Saturday, and will take on the Seawolves (2-6-2) at 3:00 PM Sunday.
