AOTW | LeBlanc and Lahaise named Hurricanes Athletes of the Week

Volleyball players Megan LeBlanc and Tyler Lahaise have been named the Holland Hurricanes Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 7.
LeBlanc, a second year player led the ‘Canes to back-to-back straight-set wins over the STU Tommies this weekend with her solid play. On Saturday she recorded ten kills and six digs before adding 17 kills and four digs on Sunday.
The left side from Fredericton, NB currently leads the ACAA in kills, sits second in kills per set and fourth in total digs.
The Hurricanes sit at 6-2 this season and are in third place in the ACAA standings. They return to action this weekend for an important weekend of play versus the first place MSVU Mystics on Saturday and fifth place UKC Blue Devils on Sunday; both games take place in Halifax.
LeBlanc is currently studying in the Business Administration program.
Lahaise, in his first season with the ‘Canes had a strong weekend of play as the Hurricanes split a home series with the Tommies one game apiece.
In Saturday’s five-set loss, Lahaise recorded 12 kills and six digs before adding eleven kills and four digs in Sunday’s four-set win.
The right side from Halifax, NS currently sits in third place in the ACAA in hitting percentage with a .244 average.
The Hurricanes sit at 7-1 this season and lead the ACAA standings ahead of this weekend’s road trip to take on the Université de Sainte-Anne Dragons in Church Point, NS.
Lahaise is currently studying in the Culinary Arts program.
