The Holland Hurricanes cross country running team will travel to Truro this weekend to compete in the ACAA Cross Country Running Championships being hosted by NSAC.

The canes will be sending over three women and three men to compete in the event in the individual category. The canes due to injuries are not able to field a full team roster since they are required to have four runners per gender to qualify in each of the team categories.

Even though canes will be running for their own individual personal best this has dampen the enthusiasm of cane men's runner Michael Bryenton who throughout the season has been the canes top performer." I am hoping to have a strong performance and end the season on a good note. I'm looking to have a good time and perhaps set myself up for an appearance at Nationals. Looking back on the season there has been a few ups and downs. I haven't been completely satisfied with my results. I would have liked to perform on a more consistent level, but sometimes with running weather conditions and health will dictate how you run. I am however satisfied with my efforts and can only improve from here."

Canes runners that will be attending the championships consist of Amy MacCallum, Jacklyn Publicover and Nora Zaiser on the women's side while the men will have Michael Bryenton, Jordan MacGregor and Brandon Weir. The race will start at 12 PM for the women while the men will hit the starting line at 1 PM.
